First Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture to be held in March

The African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) in partnership with NEPAD, COMESA, NORAD, CIMMYT and FAO is delighted to invite you to the 1st Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture to be held from 18th to 21st March 2014 in Lusaka, Zambia. The Congress theme is “Conservation Agriculture: Building entrepreneurship and resilient farming systems”.

Purpose of the 1st Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture (CA)

Provide a platform to share experiences and raise awareness on practical on-the-ground experiences and lessons on conservation agriculture. Special focus will be given to the impact of CA in relation to Household, National and Global efforts towards the attainment of improved agricultural performance and environmental resilience which in turn impact on food security, poverty alleviation as well as social and environmental stability and cohesion.

Facilitate interactions among the various schools of thought, disciplines and interest groups in enhancing an integrated and holistic thrust in promoting demand driven and local needs-based expanded adoption of conservation agriculture (CA) practices
